Sony launches Xperia X and Xperia XA in India
Sony has launched the new Xperia X and Xperia XA in India. The Xperia X priced at INR 48,990 ($729), which is the same as Galaxy S7 in India. The Xperia XA, on the other hand, is priced at INR 20,990 ($312). To put the pricing in perspective, the Xperia X has a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 650 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage with microSD support, 23-megapixel rear camera, 13-megapixel front camera, dual SIM support, fingerprint sensor, and 2620mAh battery.
Sony Xperia XA features: The cheaper of the two devices boasts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and powered by MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It also comes with 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card.
Sony is offering buyers with freebies worth over Rs 2,700. These include free three months subscription for Sony LIV, free three months subscription for Hungama Play, Kindle e-books worth Rs 1,000, and pre-installed games like Modern Combat with free credits worth Rs 780.
On the photography front, the Xperia XA is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, while up front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with wide angle lens. The phone also highlights a 2,300mAh battery with up to 2 days of claimed battery life, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
