WhatsApp’s UPI payment screenshot is viral on the internet. According to this, this payment feature will be available under below chats and notifications on setting page. This feature will be known as “WhatsApp Payments.”
Like you send pictures and videos on the app, as it is you can also send money to your friends. You have to click on the attachment, and there you will find a payment option along with photo, video, location. It is not clear about payment transaction limit and how it will work.
After launching of this feature, it will be significant competition for Indian company PayTm. Although before WhatsApp, Indian messaging app “Hike” already started payment transaction for its user. Other than this, recently Google has launched UPI based payment Tez app and which is also popular in India. It will more interest to see how will do best in future.
